Ilyce Glink, an award-winning real estate journalist and founder of Think Glink Media, was recognized by the Society of American Business Editors and Writers with its President’s Award.
Glink received the honor Saturday, April 25, at SABEW’s annual conference in Chicago.
Glink, a longtime SABEW member, was honored for her years of service to the organization, including her key role as chair of the 2015 conference, which attracted 300 leading business journalists, educators, students and policymakers.
“Ilyce stepped up to take on the demanding role of conference chair and produced an incredible program that delivered top-quality training, networking and access to news makers,” said Marty Wolk, SABEW president and assigning editor at NerdWallet. “Ilyce has been incredibly generous with her time and resources over the year, and I have relied heavily on her ideas and advice. She is richly deserving of this honor.”
A syndicated real estate and personal finance columnist and blogger for CBSNews.com and Yahoo Homes, Glink is also the author of over a dozen books, including the best-selling “100 Questions Every First-Time Home Buyer Should Ask” and “Buy, Close, Move In!”
Glink has served as an on-air real estate and personal finance expert for “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and virtually every major national television network, NPR, and many other local stations.
She hosted her own top-rated radio call-in show on WSB-AM for more than 15 years. Among her many honors, she was named one of the 30 Most Influential Women in Housing 2014 by HousingWire, and she also won the first Money $mart award from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
