Gizmodo has promoted Andrew Couts to the post of executive editor.
Previously, he was serving as interim editor-in-chief. The spot was filled on Tuesday by Wall Street Journal staffer David Ewalt.
Couts has been with Gizmodo for over 3 years, having also served as managing editor and deputy editor. He was also a politics editor at The Daily Dot and a features editor at Digitaltrends.com. He was also an associate editor at The Week.
Couts also held editorial posts at Maxim magazine and Stuff magazine.
