Tech news site Gizmodo has hired David Ewalt of The Wall Street Journal to be editor in chief.
He has been at The Journal since February 2020, building new products including indexes, data-driven rankings, and investigative journalism.
Ewalt previously was at Reuters as special projects editor, editing special reports focused on technological innovation. He managed reporters, external partners, and in-house production teams.
He previously spent nine years at Forbes as a senior editor, launching the magazine’s annual rankings of America’s Best Colleges and The World’s Most Powerful People, and four years at Information Week.
