Gizmodo hires Peyser as night editor

Eve Peyser

Tech news site Gizmodo has hired Eve Peyser as its night editor.

She starts next week.

Peyser is best known for matching with disgraced and indicted pharma executive Martin Shkreli on Tinder and writing about their conversation.

“As the night editor, I’ll be running the whole site after hours,” said Peyser in an email to Talking Biz News. “I was attracted to the job I’ve been getting my news from Gawker Media since I was a tween, and I love the voice of their sites. I’m especially excited to be working under Katie Drummond‘s leadership; I really like what she’s done with the site.”

Peyser has been a contributor to Cosmopolitan for the last four months. She has had freelance articles published in The New Inquiry, New York Magazine, Motherboard, Mic, BuzzFeed, The Verge and The Daily Dot, among others.

She is an Oberlin College graduate.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
