Arijit Ghosh, the managing editor of South Asia for Bloomberg News, has been named Africa executive editor.
He replaces John McCorry, a longtime Bloomberg employee who is now senior editor in the markets editing hub.
Ghosh has been South Asia managing editor since September 2013. He previously was a bureau chief in Mumbai and Indonesia and has been with the company since June 2002.
Before Bloomberg, he was correspondent and anchor for CNBC/TV 18 in India.
