Gerstein to head up Business Insider’s Singapore office

Julie Gerstein will be relocating to Singapore to open Business Insider’s new office.

Gerstein has been the publication’s interim executive editor for news since March.

Previously, she served as Insider’s Singapore bureau chief, and deputy editor for news, data and investigations. Gerstein also worked as Buzzfeed’s senior lifestyle editor, New York Magazine’s evening editor, Lemondrop.com’s associate editor, OK! Magazine’s contributing online editor; and TMZ’s web content producer.

Gerstein holds a Bachelor’s degree in women’s studies and sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree in international public policy from New York University, and a Master’s in media and cultural studies from the University of Sussex.
