The Athens Banner-Herald newspaper in Georgia has changed who is in charge of its business coverage.
“‘The Athens area is blessed with so many people who are committed to improving the community in all of its facets, and their work and accomplishments should be trumpeted,’ Nelson said. ‘I look forward to this new focus on the attributes that make Athens such a wonderful place to live.’
“Nelson was a good fit for the job, Hanna said.
“‘I am so pleased to be able to move Don into this new position,’ she said. ‘Don has lived and worked in the media arena in the Athens area for many years, and is a perfect choice to fill this spot. He has worked hard for a long time to make connections, friends and colleagues in our community. He’s built for this job.’
“Nelson will continue to edit the two magazines and write columns for the weekly On the Money news section, but has handed over production of the business section to Metro Editor Allison Floyd.”
