Greg Gatlin, who had been the Boston Herald’s deputy business editor, takes over as business editor of the paper. He replaces Cosmo Macero Jr., who left the paper to join a local PR firm.
“Greg’s proven himself as a gifted reporter, a first-class editor and a talented leader,â€? said Managing Editor Kevin R. Convey in a story in Tuesday’s paper. “I know that, together with his staff, he’ll take Business Today to the next level.â€?
In the same story, Gatlin said, “I’m delighted to take over the leadership of a section that each day is full of important and interesting stories that resonate with readers. We have an extremely talented staff of aggressive, and knowledgeable veteran reporters, and I’m honored to work with them.â€?
Prior to joining the Herald, Gatlin was a business reporter at The Patriot Ledger and The Middlesex News (now the MetroWest Daily News). He worked for three years in production at ABC News in New York before launching his print journalism career.
