Garrigan swaps Bloomberg for Conde Nast

Patrick Garrigan

The following note was sent out by Conde Nast CFO Jackie Marks:

Dear all,

I am pleased to announce that Patrick Garrigan will join my leadership team in the newly created role of SVP, Global Head of Events which will accelerate our growth ambitions for our events business. Patrick will be responsible for developing and implementing our global events strategy, adding new offerings to our more than 650 events around the world that take place each year. He’ll bolster our consumer revenue efforts by identifying new opportunities to transform our brands into experiences and tentpole consumer events for our audiences and partners alike.

Patrick joins Condé Nast with an extensive 20-year career having worked with a range of prominent media and lifestyle brands. He will join us from Bloomberg where he has served as Global Head of Bloomberg Live, the editorial events division. Prior to that, he worked at The Atlantic for more than five years in various roles including Executive Director of Business Development where he led partnerships and event innovations for AtlanticLIVE events around the world. He has also held roles at POLITICO and the experiential marketing agency, MAG. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University and began his career performing on stages across the U.S.

Patrick will be based in New York, reporting to me and overseeing our global events business while working closely with editorial, commercial, consumer and video teams to build and execute an events strategy that brings to life our iconic brands in a multitude of ways. There are a variety of teams that currently execute events across our brand and commercial teams and Patrick will be working in partnership with all of them, including Eric Johnson who leads events in the commercial team.

Please join me in giving a warm welcome to Patrick. He’ll officially start with us on December 13th.

Jackie
