Alex Gailey, who covered restaurants and the airport at the Atlanta Business Chronicle, is leaving the publication.
She had been at the American City Business Journals paper for the past year. She is returning to North Carolina.
Gailey interned in 2018 on the business news desk of the Boston Globe, where she wrote two front-page stories.
She also interned at the Charlotte Business Journal, a sister paper to the Business Chronicle, and freelanced for the paper during the past year as well.
She is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate. During school, she worked at The Daily Tar Heel, the student newspaper. She was the paper’s digital editor during the summer of 2016.
