Future Plc has launched The Money Edit, a website providing news and advice on managing finances.
Kalpana Fitzpatrick has been named editor. Previously, Fitzpatrick was a finance editor at Hearst UK magazines. Before that, she worked as a consumer editor. She has also written columns for the Daily Mail, covering money matters.
She has also freelanced for the Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times, the Daily Mail, Money Observer, The Banker, City magazine, Money Management, Financial Adviser, Insurance Times, Financial News, Euromoney, and a number of B2B publications.
Fitzpatrick has a B.A. in journalism/psychology from Thames Valley University.
Katie Binns will be joining as a staff writer. She comes from The Sunday Times, where she was a contributor to the Money section. Binns has been with The Times for over 9 years, previously serving as a journalist for Times Money Mentor and The Sunday Times.
