FT starts email tech newsletter

The FT launched Monday a new, tech-focused email newsletter called #techFT and a new Facebook group, Tech Meets Money.

Tech Meets Money is a Financial Times-run group featuring interesting news and advice about tech entrepreneurship, aimed at encouraging interaction and information-sharing between entrepreneurs and investors.

#techFT is a daily newsletter issued at the start of the West Coast workday. It analyzes the latest news and trends in technology, digital media and telecoms. It provides commentary and analysis and includes the best FT writing from correspondents around the world, as well as linking to outstanding coverage from around the web.

Andrew Jack, head of curated content at the FT, said: “#techFT is the latest in our growing number of newsletters that provide an expert guide to essential reading for busy decision-makers; and deliver it in ways they want. We’re excited to serve the large number of our readers interested in technology – and to attract many new ones.”

Established popular FT newsletters include FirstFT, Free Lunch, Opening Quote, and UKPolitics.

FT.com visits from FirstFT readers increase by up to 50 percent after they have signed up to the alert. All curated emails are enjoying strong growth in sign ups, with similar or still higher engagement levels.
