Siona Jenkins has been appointed UK news desk deputy editor at the Financial Times.
Jenkins has been with FT for close to 11 years, previously serving as assistant UK news editor. Before that, she was an editor/writer for FT curation, pioneering new forms of content for FT readers.
She has also served as Middle East and Africa news editor, commissioning and editing news and features from the FT’s Middle East and Africa network.
Jenkins has a bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a master’s degree from University of Toronto.
