FT names Agini its new sports biz reporter

Samuel Agini

Samuel Agini has been named by the Financial Times as the publication’s new sports business reporter.

Previously, he was with Financial News where he held the post of trading and technology correspondent.

Before that, he was a reporter with Dow Jones where he covered market structure, derivatives, clearing, regulation, fixed income and equities. Agini has also worked with Alliance News Limited which he first joined in 2013 as a reporter covering London-based financials including banks and asset managers.

He was later on promoted to the post of senior reporter at the company.

Agini is a B.A. in journalism and philosophy from The University of Stirling.
