Yasemin Craggs Mersinoglu has joined the Financial Times on the curation team. Previously, she was a reporter covering breaking news, providing analysis and conducting investigations at FE Week.
During her time there, she was selected for the NCTJ Awards for Excellence 2020 for news journalism.
Mersinoglu was also an intern at FT on the World News desk, where she wrote and edited news stories, explainers and summaries, collected data for visual representations and liaised with domestic and foreign correspondents among other tasks.
She was also an intern at Archant, Islington and Hackney Gazette, and has worked as a reporter at the South West Londoner. She was also a communications lead at International Service U.K. She has also served as a reporter at The Argus.
Mersinoglu was also deputy online editor and news investigations editor at Impact Magazine and has worked as an editorial intern at City Weekend. She has also interned at Yabangee and Men’s Fitness.
She was also a reporter at University Radio Nottingham and a student blogger at the University of Nottingham.
Mersinoglu is a M.S. in international relations and global issues from the University of Nottingham.
