The Financial Times has promoted Siddharth Venkataramakrishnan to the post of banking and fintech reporter.
He previously served as a capital markets correspondent.
Venkataramakrishnan joined the FT in 2019 as a trainee leader writer, and then became acting European technology correspondent. Prior to that, he was a consultant at Center for Strategy & Evaluation Services LLP in London.
He has also written for Cronycle and Industrial Economist, both in London. He has also written for Telegraph Media Group, and has interned at the Financial Times, CNBC, The Sunday Times and the BBC.
Venkataramakrishnan has a bachelor´s degree from University of Oxford and a M.S. in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He has another master’s degree from University of Oxford.
