The Financial Times has named Donato Paolo Mancini as its European pharmaceuticals reporter.
In addition, Hannah Kuchler will be moving back to London to become its global pharmaceuticals correspondent. She has been the publication’s U.S. pharmaceuticals correspondent and its San Francisco correspondent.
Mancini previously covered European pharmaceuticals and other news for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal before joining the FT in 2019 and has been part of its coronavirus reporting team since last year.
Kuchler has been with the FT since 2009 and has been in the United States since September 2013, first as its San Francisco correspondent. She took on the pharma correspondent job in 2019. She was also a UK news correspondent and a correspondent for FT Tilt.
Mancini and Kuchler have broken a number of pandemic stories at the FT this past year, including on Gilead’s remdesivir and AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine.
