Fresno Business Journal hires new reporter

Edward Smith

Edward Smith has been hired by the Fresno Business Journal, where he will write stories and compile its weekly lists.

Smith writes, “I attended Bullard High and graduated in 2005. After years of working in the retail industry, I went back to Fresno City College for a degree in journalism. I have a passion for adventure and the outdoors and an unhealthy obsession with politics and history.

“I first learned to love writing and research at a young age from my grandfather. Along with numerous personal endeavors in creative writing, I have also written for the Fresno City College newspaper, The Rampage, and served with the paper in several editorial positions.

“I’m excited about a new career with the Business Journal. I hope to hone my skills and purvey local developments with what I’ve learned so far to an audience willing to listen.”
