Fresno Biz Journal hires new reporter

Donald Promnitz has been hired by the Fresno Business Journal to cover health care and nonprofits.

Gabriel Dillard of the paper writes, “He is a Fresno native who studied history and journalism at Fresno City College. He previously worked for the ‘Madera Tribune,’ where he specialized in crime reporting.

“In his spare time, Donald enjoys writing recreationally and reading, especially on history. He also enjoys hiking, cycling, classical music and film, his favorite director being Akira Kurosawa.

“Donald is also a produced playwright and has seen two of his works, ‘On the Night in Question’ and ‘Eminent Domain,’ performed on stage at Fresno City College.

“The Business Journal is in the process of a hiring another reporter to join its newsroom, and then the sectors that each reporter covers will be set.”
