Fresno Bee makes changes to business section

The Fresno Bee newspaper announced Sunday changes to its business section, including eliminating some national and international features, but keeping the focus on local business news.

A story stated, “Beginning Tuesday, the daily stock market report will be condensed to one page but will include more snapshot features to help readers quickly interpret the previous day’s events and look ahead. The streamlined business report will make room for the Opinion pages to move to the back of the daily business section. We will continue to publish the Vision section on Sundays.

“Also on Sundays, beginning today, we’ll present two new, data-rich pages of stock and mutual fund information to help investors make the best sense of volatile markets.

“In other changes, we’re freshening our syndicated business columns and launching a new local column by farm reporter Dennis Pollock. And on different weekdays, we’ll highlight business topics such as consumer news, personal finance, technology and agriculture.”
