Frerking to step down as news vertical editor at Dallas Morning News

Beth Frerking, news vertical editor at The Dallas Morning News will be stepping down from her post on May 28 after holding it for more than 2 years.

Frerking has also worked as a freelance journalist, newsroom manager, editor, reporter and writer. She was also editor-in-chief of The Rivard Report. She was also editor-in-chief, The National Law Journal at ALM Media, LLC.

She also served as an assistant managing editor at Politico for nearly 7 years. In the meantime, she has commented on political news for outlets such as CNN, ABC News Now and Inside Edition. She was also executive director at Casey Journalism Center on Children and Families.

Frerking was also a national correspondent at Newhouse News Service and a Washington correspondent/bureau chief at The Denver Post. She has also worked as a reporter at the Dallas Times Herald.

Frerking is a B.J. in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
