French biz journalist visits Iowa

Philip Brasher of the Des Moines Register writes about how Beatrice Mathieu, a writer/editor for the French national business magazine L’Expansion, recently visited Iowa.

Brasher writes, “Mathieu also dropped in on biotech research at Pioneer Hi-Bred, something of a stretch for a citizen of a country that still forbids biotech seeds.Sadly, the winter timing of her trip prevented any visit to one of Iowa’s emerging wineries.

“‘I would like to have seen one,’ Mathieu said.

“The French journalist’s visit to Iowa was to gather research for an article on agriculture that will be part of an upcoming special edition in L’Expansion on the U.S. economy.”
