Henry Foy has been named the Moscow bureau chief for the Financial Times.
He replaces Kathrin Hille, who is now the paper’s Greater China correspondent.
Foy previously reported on Russia’s biggest companies in the energy, metals and mining industries and the intersection of politics and big business in one of the world’s energy superpowers. He also reported on Central Asia’s emerging republics courted by both Moscow and Beijing.
He joined the FT in 2013 from Reuters, where he was a correspondent in India in New Delhi and Mumbai. He worked at Reuters for three years.
Foy holds a degree from the University of York in English literature and philosophy.
