Fox Business Network, which began Nielsen ratings in late March, has seen its viewership rise by more than 12 percent during April, according to data obtained Monday by Talking Biz News.
In the key 25 to 54-year-old demographic, Fox Business has 11,000 viewers, compared to 8,000 in March, when the stock market was open.
During the day, Fox Business has 63,000 viewers in April, again up from 57,000 in March, and 12,000 in the key 25 to 54-year-old demographic, up 1,000 from March.
For Monday through Friday prime time, which is 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., Fox Business Network had 64,000 total viewers and 18,000 in the 25 to 54-year-old demographic.
Nielsen estimates that CNBC is currently in 98.4 million homes, while Fox Business Network is in 57.3 million homes. In October 2007, when Fox Business launched, it was in 30 million homes compared to 94.8 million homes for CNBC at that time.
