Helped by a new schedule and the stock market’s ups and downs, Fox Business Network recorded its highest ratings of the year in August.
The eight-year-old network, according to Nielsen, averaged 89,000 total viewers and 16,000 viewers in the key 25- to 54-year-old demographic.
During the business day, that was an increase of 98 percent in total viewers and a 167 percent in the 25 to 54 demo compared to August 2014.
Among its shows, “Varney & Company” recorded the network’s highest-rated month ever in total viewers for the 9 a.m. to noon slot with 114,000 while “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” posted the network’s highest-rated noon to 2 p.m. slot ever with 16,000 in the 26 to 54 demographic.
“Lou Dobbs Tonight” scored its highest-rated month since May 2013 with an average of 96,000 viewers, while “Risk & Reward” had Fox Business Network’s highest-rated month since November 2012 in the 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. slot with an average of 44,000 viewers.
