Fox Business once again live on holiday while CNBC shows tape
Fox Business Network, which last month was live on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, is once again live on President’s Day while competitor CNBC is running taped programming.
CNBC also ran taped shows on the MLK Jr. holiday, a day in which the international stock markets tanked.
Only Fox BusinessÂ was live Monday when the news broke that theÂ British government confirmed thatÂ it isÂ nationalizing Northern Rock.
Fox BusinessÂ showed partÂ of Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s press conference live and London-basedÂ Fox BusinessÂ correspondent Ashley Webster offered analysis from Westminster on how the U.K. goverment blamed the U.S. subprime mortgage market forÂ its travails.
In addition, Fox Business promoted itself being live on Monday while its competitors weren’t with an ad in The Wall Street Journal.
