Fox Business Network named Rich Edson and Adam Shapiro as reporters based in Washington, D.C., according to Bruce Becker, vice president and Washington bureau chief.
“We are pleased to welcome two new reporters to FBN to contribute to our coverage of Capitol Hill and other national business topics,” said Becker in a statement.Â
Edson joins from Reuters, where he was a freelance reporter based in Washington covering international news. Prior to joining Reuters, Edson was a government reporter for Piedmont Television’s WTGS-TV and WJCL-TV’s ABC affiliate in Savannah, Ga., where he founded the stations’ first political reporting unit and coordinated government coverage.
Shapiro was previously an anchor and reporter for WNBC-TV in New York City. Prior to joining WNBC, Shapiro served as the anchor for “Good Morning Cleveland” and “Live on Five” on WEWS-TV in Cleveland, where he received a 2005 local Emmy Award for Outstanding Newscast. From 1997 to 1988, he was a Chicago-based correspondent for Fox News Channel and contributed to Fox affiliate WFLD-TV and CBS affiliate WBBM-TV.
