Fox Business cancels “The Independents,” to debut “Kennedy”

Fox Business Network has canceled the libertarian-oriented program “The Independents” and will replace it with another show hosted by Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery,” reports Jordan Charlton of The Wrap.

Charlton writes, “The program featured a panel of hosts including former MTV VJ Lisa ‘Kennedy’ Montgomery alongside contributors Matt Welch and Kmele Foster.

“But Kennedy will not be leaving the network: On Jan. 26, she’ll debut her own program, self-titled ‘Kennedy’ at 10 p.m. ET on Fox Business. The show will concentrate on water-cooler topics, including politics, business and culture, and will air Monday-Friday.

“The premiere of ‘Kennedy’ is part of the network’s new prime time, featuring reality series ‘Strange Inheritance’ hosted by Jamie Colby, which will air before it at 9 p.m. ET.”
