In the demo, Fox Business notched 20,000 viewers, earning a 5 percent lead over CNBC’s 20-year weekly low of 19,000 viewers, for the week of June 26 to June 30.
Fox Business averaged 177,000 viewers for the week during the 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. business day, which was the fourth consecutive week that it was ahead of CNBC, which averaged 139,000 viewers for the week.
CNBC no longer uses Nielsen, which does not measure viewers in the office or in other places such as trading floors where it believes its audience watches its programming
For the 45th consecutive week, “Lou Dobbs Tonight” was the No. 1 rated news program in business television with 335,000 total viewers, as well as the week’s No. 1 rated business news program in the age 25-54 demo with 35,000 total viewers.
“Varney & Co.,” “Cavuto Coast to Coast” and “Countdown to the Closing Bell,” which are all Fox Business shows, were also ranked in the top four business programs for the week.
