Kia Kokalitcheva, a tech reporter for Fortune, has been hired by startup news site Axios to cover tech and tech deals.
She joins Dan Primack, who left Fortune earlier this year to help Axios, which is being started by the Politico co-founders, get off the ground.
Kokalitcheva has been with Fortune for the past 22 months, covering technology and Silicon Valley with a focus on the “on-demand economy.”
Before that, she worked at VentureBeat for six months covering early-stage startups and funding.
Kokalitcheva is a 2012 graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in political economy.
