Time Inc. plans to start an Indian edition of Fortune magazine under a license deal with a local media company, an editor at the U.S.-based business publication said Friday.
“Rapid globalization of the Indian economy and rising middle class incomes are driving demand for such products as Fortune, which caters to wealthier readers interested in international investments and personal finance. it is only a logical conclusion that Fortune is coming to India. But , I think it has woken up a bit late to the now imminent fact that India is soon going to be a global economic super-power. It is one of the two fastest growing economy and its affluent class is growing at a rate better than most countries in the world. Another advantage is the language.
It is almost mandatory for anybody to be well versed in english to ahieve something and India has endless numbers of them.
Better late than never-
Best of luck to Fortune.
