Fortune.com visitors have doubled since Alan Murray took over as editor of the business magazine.
Unique visitors to the site increased 100 percent to 15.9 million in August 2015 compared to the same month a year ago. In addition, mobile visitors to the site increased 390 percent to 6.4 million during the same time period.
Murray was named editor of the magazine last summer and took over on Aug. 25. He formerly ran the online operations of The Wall Street Journal and was president of the Pew Research Center in Washington.
Under Murray, the magazine has hired a half-dozen reporters from GigaOm to cover tech news on the site, and it has added a number of new newsletters, including “CEO Daily,” which is written by Murray. The site has also increased its video offerings.
Video plays and replays on the site grew 986 percent to 1.1 million in August 2015 compared to August 2014. And referrals by social media increased 406 percent to 4 million in August 2015.
The 85-year-old magazine split its content online from CNNMoney.com shortly before Murray took over.
