Foreign policy journalist Julian Pecquet has launched a new news site ForeignLobby.com focused on “tracking global influence efforts in the nation’s capital and across the country,” reports Politico.
Previously, he was first a congressional correspondent, then Washington editor and recently held the post of special projects editor at Al-Monitor. Before that, he was with The Hill where he held the post of foreign affairs reporter.
He also launched the publication’s Global Affairs blog in May 2012 and was its lead writer and editor until March 2014. Prior to that, Pecquet launched The Hill’s Healthwatch blog focused on health care policy.
Apart from these outlets, he has served as an associate editor and reporter at Inside Washington Publishers and Tallahassee Democrat, respectively.
Pecquet holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Institut d’Etudes politiques de Strasbourg and a master’s degree in journalism from University of Missouri-Columbia.
