Former P-I biz columnist finds work in Tacoma

Bill Virgin, the business columnist at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer when it closed its print edition earlier this year, will begin writing a Sunday column for the Tacoma News-Tribune.

An item in the Tacoma paper states, “Beginning a week from today, former P-I business columnist Bill Virgin will write a column for our Sunday business section. He will focus on the big businesses in the region including Weyerhaeuser, Russell and Boeing as well as economic issues facing the South Sound.

“Virgin has been writing about Puget Sound business issues for more than two decades and knows what’s important to readers in this area. He was with the P-I for more than 18 years, was a TNT business reporter from 1987 to 1990, and worked for the Charleston (West Virginia) Daily Mail before that.

“We are excited to have him as part of our business section.”
