Former Crain’s Detroit Business editor Jennette Smith Kotila has been hired as vice president of marketing and communications for real estate company Core Partners LLC.
Kirk Pinho of Crain’s Detroit writes, “Smith Kotila, 42, begins the newly created position Wednesday. She will focus on Core Partners’ marketing, communications and client service, according to a news release.
“Smith Kotila spent 18 years at Crain’s until leaving in December as part of a reorganization. She previously worked at The Times Herald in Port Huron and The Macomb Daily in Mount Clemens.
“Core Partners has about 130 employees and manages about 10 million square feet of real estate. It also provides construction and brokerage services.”
