Matt Hunter, who was senior technology editor at CNBC.com before leaving in May, has been hired by Weber Shandwick.
His title is senior editor.
Hunter had been in charge of CNBC’s technology coverage since November 2013. He oversaw coverage of start-ups, established companies, and the ways the industry is re-ordering every level of society.
Before that, Hunter was a news editor for CNBC.com for eight years. He joined CNBC in 2007. Hunter also spent two years at American Banker and two years at Institutional Investor.
He’s a 1994 graduate of Hampshire College.
