Former CNBC contributor Bolling joins Fox Business Network

Independent trader Eric Bolling has joined Fox Business Network as a contributor, according to an announcement Monday.

Last year, rival CNBC filed an injunction to prevent Bolling from appearing on Fox Business. Bolling had regularly appeared on CNBC.

Kevin Magee, executive vice president of Fox News, said, “We’re looking forward to Eric serving in a number of roles on FBN. Eric brings over twenty years of Wall Street trading experience and we’re thrilled to have him join our team.”

Bolling added, “I’m very proud to join FBN and have the opportunity to bring my market expertise to the network.”

Currently, Bolling serves as an independent trader based from his office at the New York Mercantile Exchange, the world’s largest trading center for energy, where he specializes in trading a variety of commodities including crude oil, gold and agricultural commodities. He also actively trades equities, options and derivatives in various forms and is a member of IntercontinentalExchange, the NYMEX and the Commodities Exchange of New York. For five years, Bolling served on the NYMEX’s board of directors, and subsequently acted as a strategic advisor there.

Previously, Bolling was a CNBC contributor for two years, including his stint as a panelist on “Fast Money,” where he offered expertise on a wide range of investments.
