Ron Trujillo, who resigned as editor of the Sacramento Business Journal earlier this year, has joined a local public relations firm.

Melanie Turner of the Business Journal writes, “Trujillo, 44, started his new job Wednesday. He will work with clients on public relations through traditional media outlets and social networks.

“Halldin Public Relations is the region’s 10th largest public relations agency, according to Business Journal research. The Roseville firm has seven employees and last year had $828,000 in gross billings.

“A 21-year career journalist, Trujillo most recently was editor of the Sacramento Business Journal for five years. In his last three years, Trujillo provided a daily business report to Capital Public Radio.

“Trujillo resigned from the Business Journal in early January, but continued to oversee a 12-person newsroom until Jack Robinson took over Feb 24. Trujillo had no immediate plans following his resignation.”
