Former Atlanta Biz Chronicle reporter named editor of community papers

Amy Wenk, a former commercial real estate reporter at the Atlanta Business Chronicle, has been named editor of a group of community newspapers in the Atlanta area.

She will start her new position on May 24 as editor of Reporter Newspapers, which cover Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Brookhaven and Buckhead.

Wenk has been communications manager for commercial real estate firm CBRE in Atlanta since Late 2019.

She joined the Business Chronicle in 2012 from the Midtown Patch, which covers news in midtown Atlanta. She had been there since October 2010. Wenk, a graduate of Clemson University, is a native Atlantan who has worked as a community journalist for several local newspapers. She has covered communities from Buckhead to Cartersville.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
