Dwight Silverman, consumer technology staff writer at Forbes, will be leaving.
His last day is Aug. 16.
Previously, Silverman was with the Houston Chronicle for 30 years, having joined in 1990. He has managed the TechBurger website, written about personal tech for the Chronicle’s website and print edition.
He has held various roles at the Chronicle, including assistant state editor, business reporter, technology columnist, interactive journalism editor, social media manager and manager of the subscriber website.
Silverman has also worked at the San Antonio Current, the San Antonio Light and the Beaumont Enterprise. He is a regular panelist on This Week in Tech, the popular tech news podcast at twit.tv, and is a former co-host of Technology Bytes.
He is the author of several computer books, including “Running Windows on Your Mac” (Peachpit) and “Switching to a Mac: No Problem” (Wiley & Sons).
Silverman graduated from University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
