Forbes strikes deal for editions in Peru and Chile

Forbes announced Wednesday the launch of two international editions, Forbes Chile and Forbes Peru, in partnership with Media Business Generators.

Both Spanish-language editions are launching online in November 2021.

Forbes Chile will be led by Randy Nieves-Ruiz as the editor-in-chief. He has more than two decades of experience in digital and print platforms. He has been an editor and news correspondent at international media outlets such as Agence France-Presse, EFE and Univision.com.

Hugo Flores will lead Forbes Peru as the editor-in-chief. Flores is a communication professional with over ten years of experience in business and economic media.

Media Business Generators, with its media holding, Business and Luxury Media Group, publishes Forbes Central America, Forbes Colombia, Forbes Dominican Republic, and Forbes Mexico. Forbes already has local editions in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Ecuador, with 46 local licensed editions around the world.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
