Forbes managing editor Dan Bigman sent out the following announcement to his colleagues and friends on Wednesday:
After a lot of years at Forbes, I’ve decided to move on.
Starting September 8, I’ll be the Publisher/Bizdev Guy/Chief Cook & Bottlewasher at Verse, an NYC startup that’s doing some truly groundbreaking things with interactive video.
For now, the platform is still under wraps (URL is not yet live), but we’re hoping to launch soon. Stay tuned — I’d love to show it to you. It’s gorgeous, it absolutely stretches the state of the art, and the possibilities for what you can do with it — from news to documentary film to advertising — are endless.
My last day at Forbes is Friday, August 21 and danbigman@gmail.com will the best way to reach me going forward.
Bigman previously directed online news for The New York Times, was business editor of NYTimes.com and co-founded DealBook.
