She will report on tech in Silicon Valley and beyond, with a focus on social media. Chaykowski joins Forbes from The Wall Street Journal in New York, where she is a news writer and producer on the paper’s home page team.
Previously, she reported for Bloomberg News in San Francisco and New York, The Wall Street Journal in Johannesburg as the 2012 Daniel Pearl Memorial Intern and for the South African weekly The Mail & Guardian.
She received a B.A. in English in 2013 from Stanford University, where she was editor in chief and president at The Stanford Daily – and where she worked with Forbes tech staffers Ellen Huet and Ryan Mac.
Her first journalism job was as a music reporter at The Chautauquan Daily, but she caught the bug at her high school paper in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Originally from Ontario, Chaykowski is a dual U.S.-Canadian citizen.
