Jonathan Ponciano has been hired by Forbes as an assistant editor for investing.
His first day was Monday.
Ponciano has been writing for Investopedia for the past year after interning at Forbes last summer.
Ponciano studied business journalism and economics at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he wrote news and blog posts for the Kenan-Flagler Business School as a marketing and communications assistant, covering everything from faculty research to industry conferences.
He also spent time reporting on the private sector for Los Angeles Business Journal and working for NC Business News Wire, writing breaking news about North Carolina public companies.
Some of the topics he’s covered include global market trends in commercial real estate, socially responsible investing and the rapid growth of foreign investment in the United States.
