Forbes Media, the parent of Forbes magazine, announced Wednesday that it has acquired a 51 percent stake in RealClearPolitics.com for an undisclosed amount.
RealClearPolitics.com joins the family of Forbes Web sites, which also includes Forbes.com, ForbesTraveler.com, ForbesAutos.com and Investopedia.com.
In making the announcement, Forbes President and CEO Steve Forbes stated, “We are absolutely delighted to welcome RealClearPolitics.com to the Forbes Media family as we continue our pursuit of enhancing and growing the company. Republicans, Democrats, Independents — anyone with an interest in politics and its impact on the economy — all find this sight indispensable for staying on top of critical news and analysis. It will be even more critical as the election season heats up.”
John McIntyre is the president and co-founder of www.realclearpolitics.com, which he started with fellow Princeton graduate Tom Bevan in the spring of 2000. The site has grown to become one of the premier political Web sites on the Internet, with nearly 1 million unique monthly visitors.
