The Lakeland Ledger, a New York Times newspaper, said in its Sunday paper that it will launch the Polk County Business Journal later in the week.
Kevin Bouffard wrote, “The inaugural issue’s theme is banking in Polk, and it contains stories about the differences between small, community banks and larger,
“Also in the first issue are stories about ‘green’ (environmentally friendly) buildings in Polk, finance options for new businesses and a primer on hurricane planning.
“‘While our Ledger Business section aims to provide information to the general public, the Polk County Business Journal will target the business community specifically, offering them information to help them advance their businesses, keep track of the competition and be aware of the many networking opportunities in the county,’ said Rachel Pleasant, the journal’s editor.”
