The Lakeland Ledger has hired Maya Lora to cover growth and development.
She started Monday at the central Florida newspaper.
Lora has interned at the Miami Herald for the past two summers, first as a business reporter and then as a local government reporter.
She is a graduate of Washington & Lee University in journalism and English. While in school, she was editor in chief of the student newspaper Ring-tum Phi.
Lora also interned at The Hill in 2018.
