Joshua Brown of Benzinga has five recommended moves for CNBC.com now that it has hired well-known online business journalist John Carney.
Here are three of them:
1. Post the track records of each stockpicker/forecaster as they appear on CNBC TV. Even if it’s only a record of what they’ve said on the network before.
2. Give Dennis Kneale a blog (KnealeThoughts?). The wounds have healed from the Kneale vs Bloggers War last year. Let’s give the man who has an opinion on everything a chance to flesh his thoughts out online. Maybe we’re not so different, he and us. Or maybe we are. Either way, I guarantee there would be tons of incoming links.
3. Add the StockTwits stream to at least each stock quote page if not the homepage itself. I know I’m the from the home team on this one but the fact that StockTwits is the best real-time market commentary extant cannot be denied. And the site’s visitors would love it.
