Colby Smith has been named U.S. economics editor at the Financial Times.
She previously covered U.S. rates, foreign exchange rates and Latin America for the FT’s markets team in New York. She has also written for Alphaville.
Prior to the FT, she worked at the Economist and Bloomberg, where she was a producer for “What’d you Miss?” She was also an associate producer for “Bloomberg Surveillance.”
Smith holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge.
