Financial Times hires data visualization journalist in New York

The Financial Times has hired Brooke Fox as a data visualization journalist in New York.

She started on Monday.

Fox had been at Money-Media since November 2016, working for trade publications FundFire and Agenda as a reporter and editor. Money-Media is owned by the FT and is housed under FT Specialist.

Fox previously interned for Bloomberg News as a telecom reporter.

Last year, Fox participated as a journalist in residence at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

She’s a University of Colorado graduate with a degree in business administration and English literature. While in college, she wrote for the Colorado Business Review.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
